W
elcome to the class website for Information and Communications Technology for Development (ICTD) in Practice (Spring 2014)
at the University of California Berkeley School of Information. No matter if you are a registered student or not, i
f you are interested in the use of technology to enhance international development, we encourage you to get involved with this course through this website! How to Get Involved:
We have reached the end of the course, but you can take (or re-take) the class anytime. All the class readings, videos and Powerpoints are archived here on this website, as well as at our blog at www.barefootlawyers.org. While this was first and foremost a face to face course held at the iSchool at UC Berkeley, our hope is to use the reach of the web to enhance learning and collaboration:- Read an overview about the class and follow along the course via our class schedule and materials- Read the readings for each class first, and then watch the class videos (and view the slide pack at the same time if you can't view it clearly in the video).
- Read the Announcements for fun!
- Visit our internal Facebook group to network and read private class discussions
- Join our ICTD blog discussions at BarefootLawyers
- If you are anywhere near Berkeley, email us to say hello!
- Contact the instructor if you have ideas and feedback, or just to connect!
